Meadow's new favorite

She loves Thomas the Train. She even sleeps with it! She gets especially excited about the sad trains for some reason.

Ward Creek Trail Stroll

We "strolled" along this lovely trail, then had a picnic at Last Chance Campground. With us were Sarah and "Baby Benaiah" (as Meadow calls him), and Jim & Bev Bird, and good old Bingo.

Visitors from England

This is Carol (a longtime friend of the Cookes and the Goulds) and her new husband Roy who were passing through on a cruise ship today. Their exclusive tour of Ketchikan included a cup of tea at the Cooke's home. Matthew grew up with Carol's son Ben, who visited here a few years ago.

Horsey Tour

Meadow loves horses, so on Saturday my mom took us on the horse-trolley tour. The horse's names were Jingles and Frank. It was a beautiful day, and a pretty good tour. Meadow really enjoyed it and was especially impressed watching one of the horses "go potty" on the dock, and then a man cleaned up. She still talks about it! Maybe it will help in the potty training effort. Sorry if that's too much information. It's late. I just wanted to do a new post about something.

It's A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood

Yup, I think we live in the best neighborhood in town with a beautiful beach to play at! Meadow was very busy finding various things to throw in the water. Then a cruise ship went by and she said "get it..." as she walked into the water!

It is nice to have both sets of grandparents here. Meadow and Logan get to spend lots of time with them!

Latest Kid Pics

Meadow loves trying on everyone's shoes! She was especially excited to wear "Daddy's Big Boots"! Logan is now sleeping in his crib in Meadow's room. I was afraid they would wake each other up in the night, but so far it's been fine! The last picture is of the kids riding in their new [wonderful, amazing, so easy to push, fantastic] very nice double jogging stroller with a raincover on it! -amplified version. It was an early Christmas present from my mom.

Hello, We're Back

We had a very nice weekend in Bellevue. Matthew and I went out for dinner one night to the Cheesecake Factory while Auntie Christy babysat. That was very nice! We also went to Woodland Park Zoo. Meadow enjoyed it, but was almost more excited about the crows landing on the path than the exotic animals who were mostly sleeping because of the heat! Then toward the end (having missed her nap) she had a meltdown because I told her no, she couldn't ride the zebra! One of the pictures shows her showing off her stylish hedgehog purse which is what she chose from the gift shop. In the cave picture, she and Matthew are looking at a grizzly bear. Logan enjoyed his time with auntie Christy too.

Off to Seattle

We are leaving tomarrow morning for Seattle. We will be staying with Christy and hopefully doing some fun things like going to the zoo! The weather there is in the 80's! Meadow is excited. Every time she hears a jet take off, she says, "Seattle, Farley, Annie!" (Christy's two cats.) Of course, EVERY jet is going there to visit Farley and Annie. Here's a picture of Logan who just learned how to sit up! Well, we will be back Tuesday. Then I'll put on more pictures. Bye bye!
