Here's the list of names I had on the babycenter poll and the % of votes:
out of 1366 votes,
Ashlen Raine 44%
Haley Rain 36%
Haylee Rain 20%
for boy's names, which are ones that only I like,
Dylan James 52%
Brennen James 40%
Dane 8%
Most people said they preferred Ashlyn or Aislinn (pronounced the same) to Ashlen, and the spelling Brennan. Lots of people pointed out the bad weather forecast with the name Haley (Haily) Rain! If we choose Haley, we will probably use the middle name Brooke. I know it rhymes with Cooke, but for a middle name that's OK. People either loved or hated the name Dane, and Dylan James was a nice normal favorite. Matthew really doesn't like Dylan, but Brennen is OK, and we thought of Hudson, which just OK. I'm not sure. For girls we're considering Heather again. What do you think? Please leave comments, since nobody could comment on my poll for some reason. Grandparents too!!

I tried to look up the meaning of Hudson, and can't find one! He would be named after Hudson Bay, which is considered part of the Arctic Ocean, or Hudson Taylor The missionary.
I commented on your poll! :) but you had hundreds of comments Lol.
I like heather. I think that is a really pretty name.
my suggestion was Michael Christian or Christian Michael after the grandfathers.
Ok.....I like Ashlen(that spelling too) I do not care for heather becuase it seems like a wolfy name. You will have to ask me about that later. I like Dylan and Brennen, but my fav of those two is Brennen. I like the middle name James too! Brennen James is nice and Ashlen Rain is growing on me. Hudson.....not so much my favorite. Of course whatever you decide to name spud is going to be cute!

I think Ashlen is a pretty name for a girl, I'm not much on Rain for a middle name. I like Dylan James and Brennan or Brennen. I like Hudson but I always associate it with a last name. Just a thought, it is surprising when you think that you have picked out a "supposed" easy spelling for your child's name and how many people mispell it anyway. I would stick with the most common spellings for names.
I would agree on sticking with the most common way to spell a name. I like Ashlyn or Haylee and I like the middle name Rain for either one. I think Hudson is a great name!! That is my favorite out of the boys...Dane is my second choice.
Here's another boy name idea that I came across: Milan (pronounced MY-lan). What do you think? It might be nice with James.
All the grief you got for Meadow and you are worried about Haley Rain? I like it! I think Ashlynn Rain is my favorite though. I really like Hudson too. I don't think you really need to worry too much about boys names though...:)
Personally, I like the name Dylan James. It has a nice rhythm, simple and easy spelling. I say no to Hudson. I've always like the name Joy for a girl, either first or middle. It is cheerful and again easy spelling and not much anything that can be twisted or misused.
I think Heather is good! Could even do Heather Lynn or Heather Rae. I like the name Hayley as well. Hayley Anne or Hayley May or...well, it's really getting past my bedtime, so I've gotta go...but I do really like Heather and Hayley.
It's past my bedtime too. I like Ashlen (though she'd be called Ash); I also like Haley, and I REALLY like Brooke or Ripple! Brennen and Hudson are ok. How about Cliff? Or Vale? Even Valley is nice... Valley James Cooke, known affectionately as Val. As you know, my absolute favorites for a boy are River and Rio.
No, she will NOT be called Ash! We don't call Meadow Med-
I can call ny niece or newphew whatever nickname I want! Meds for Meadow- Logy for Logan- and Ash for Ashlen! :) Aunties have rights too!!!!!
Yeah, I like the name Brooke also!
I think mom and dad should choose the names, not some poll.
I like Ashlen Raine and Tooooobbbbbbyyyyy!
I like Dylan.
